Vinicius and Adam returned
to Henderson, TN last Friday. It was a cry baby
experience. The baby cried, the parents cried and the grandparents cried. Oh
well… life continues. Vinicius begins summer classes tomorrow so they had to go
back. Pray for them as they prepare for the future. Lashonda made the highest
grade in class on her “anatomy” exam last week! The first exam was not as good,
but now she knows how to prepare for that teacher’s tests.
David, Wren and Adam are
coming to Belo Horizonte
next week, Lord willing. They must come this month so that David can keep his
permanent visa. They plan to stay three weeks. During their stay here, David is
scheduled to work on videos with the recording and TV ministry. He plans to
invest much of his life in this area when he returns to Brazil in the
near future.
Our court case against the
telephone company took another turn. They appealed the case, so it is not over.
We had until last Friday evening to disclaim the reasons for their appeal and
we learned this at noon on Friday. We had understood that it was tomorrow; the
attendee at the court office had told Eddison this on May 27. We learned of this
change when we arrived at the airport to carry Vinicius, Adam and two of the
other campaigners who had stayed on when Lashonda left. We had to leave them
there and rush to the lawyer’s office to help him prepare our case. Up to this
point we had handled the case alone, but the court system requires that we have
a lawyer at the level that the case has reached. Please pray with us that this
can be settled soon so that we can get on with life.
Eddison began having pain in
his left hip about three weeks ago. Since then it has spread to his whole leg.
Sometimes it is in one place and sometimes in another. He is consulting a
doctor and doing exams to find and treat the problem. He thinks it is a pinched
nerve or something similar. Please pray for him. The pain is intense and it
is difficult to stand and walk for any length of time.
All the best to you and yours.
